JULIE WAGNER
STRINGS, PIANO
Julie Wagner, originally from Cherry Hill, NJ, began her musical studies on the piano and strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass ), starting at the age of 7. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and her Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Maryland. Before moving to San Diego, Julie regularly performed with various orchestras in the Washington, DC area. She has performed at many prestigious venues, such as Lincoln Center in New York City, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, and the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. As a music teacher, Julie has held several positions at many schools and local music groups, like the San Diego Youth Symphony, working worth students of all ages, from 3 to adult. Ms. Julie’s approach to teaching reflects her belief that enjoyment and understanding are key ingredients for musical education. Her desire is to foster a sense of musical appreciation while imparting the knowledge and skills to make each student successful.
STEVEN KRAMER
WOODWINDS, PIANO
Steven began his musical studies on piano at age 7. He built his musical foundation on this instrument. From there, he was inspired to branch out into wind instruments. Steven’s passion for music led him to New York City where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music from Columbia University, while also studying at the prestigious Juilliard School. He also went on to earn a Master’s degree from Yale University’s School of Music. Steven has performed professionally with ensembles up and down the east coast. He has appeared in major concert venues across the country including Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. As a music teacher, Steven encourages students to explore all areas of music, and always strives to foster individuality and creativity in his students.
JOHN-LUKE ADDISON
PIANO
John-Luke Addison is a San Diego, California-based pianist, music director, conductor, composer, and teacher. He has been music director or pianist for several international professional theatrical productions, choirs, and churches, and has had published compositions performed internationally. John-Luke completed his Doctorate in Music Composition through the University of Oxford, and did his other graduate work at York University in Toronto, studying composition. After spending the first portion of his life in Canada, he moved to San Diego in 2018 with his wife, Michelle. John-Luke is an avid athlete, reader, cook, and traveler, and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His favorite composers are those of the French impressionism movement: Debussy, Ravel, and Satie, and his improvisatory performance style is indicative of these composers.
RADHA CASTRO
FLUTE, PIANO
My name is Radha Castro, I am a flutist who recently graduated from San Diego State University for Music Performance. I’ve been a flute and piano teacher here at MUSE Academy of Music for the past few years. My favorite thing about teaching is creating a fun and supportive relationship with my kids that encourages them to grow as a person and musician. My favorite things outside of music and teaching are hanging out with my cats, reading, and playing video games or D&D!
Taron Melvin

Taron Melvin is a San Diego based musician who is passionate about music, motorcycles and video games. His main focus is making sure his students are working on something that inspires them and helps them grow.
Nyomi Hurd
VOICE, PIANO
Nyomi is a passionate voice and piano instructor with a Bachelors in Music Education trained classically with vocal jazz emphasis. Although voice was her first love, piano and musical theatre has inspired her to expand on her musical journey and teach it all! She adores drive & creativity while focusing on engaging with students through innovative and adaptable teaching methods but of course having fun at ALL times!
Isabella Clough
VOICE, PIANO, UKULELE
Hi y’all! My name is Izzy Clough and I’m a private studio teacher here at Muse Academy of Music. I currently teach piano, voice, and ukulele to students of all age ranges. I have been into and performing music since I was eleven years old and I’m currently earning my degree at San Diego State University for music education. I love to cook, watch T.V. shows and movies in my free time, and my favorite genre of music to listen to is pop. I’m very excited to be teaching students the joys of learning and playing music!
